The Racing Optimized Cervical Collar is the first C-Collar to fit underneath a full face helmet.

The current standard EMS C-collar has been in use for over 30 years and there is much debate in the medical field about its effectiveness. Evidence shows that it can sometimes do more harm than good, especially during application.

I found that there had to be 3 major adjustment points: The front Boa system would adjust the width in the X direction, the side supports would adjust the depth in the Y direction, and the chin support would slide up and down in the Z direction.

I worked closely with a designer from Boa Technology who sent me samples of their
patented closure systems for use in this
C-Collar.  The system allows it to be adjusted precisely to fit each individual patient.  When turned, each knob pulls on a wire that stretches between two parts, tightening them around the patient’s neck.  To release, simply pull up on the knob and the collar can be loosened without unsettling the patient.
