TIME MACHINES is an exhibit that allows people to experience the future of transportation in stationary autonomous vehicle simulations.  It is designed to excite the public about new ways that cars can be enjoyed once the need for a human driver is eliminated.

A timeline on the wall across from the main exhibit shows four decades of unprecedented growth and change in the automotive industry.  The paintings of concept artist Syd Mead are fragmented across the wall in a projected light display.

The time machines are the car interiors, which are displayed around the exhibit for visitors to try out and experience for themselves.  There will be some permanent displays and some interchangeable ones based on manufacturer participation.

The circular floor plan allows visitors to get lost in the experience and become disconnected from the outside world.  The scale and proportions were carefully considered in creating a spacious environment that encourages social interaction.
